Rajasthan Govt Issued guidelines for higher education examinations

The state government issued guidelines on Sunday regarding the examinations of universities and colleges for the session 2020-21. The first-year students will be promoted directly, 2nd and 3rd-year students will get temporary promotions with exams to be held later. While the exams for the final year are to be conducted by the first week of August.

According to the Minister of State for Higher Education, Bhanwar Singh Bhati, “The examinations of graduation third year or final year and final or terminal semester in universities and colleges will be executed offline in the last week of July or first week of August. Their results will be declared by September 30, 2021.”

“The first-year graduate students will be promoted to the next class by giving marks based on the average of marks obtained in the 10th and 12th examinations. Students of the second year of graduation will be given admission to the next class temporarily. Online classes for the same will start from July 10, 2021,” he added.

“Once the Covid situation gets back to normal, the examinations for second-year students will be conducted. The exams will be based on the objective or descriptive pattern as per convenience and the results will be released by December 31, 2021,” said the minister of higher education.

The courses/faculty/subjects in which the number of students is less and the university has sufficient resources, their examinations can be executed through online mode. Also, the examinations for professional courses and semester mode courses will be operated online.

The period of the examination would be one and a half hours per question paper instead of 3 hours. Also, an option will be given to solve 50% of the questions of the papers proportionately. Subjects having two or three question papers will be conducted in a single shift. If needed, the examination centers will be increased.

In addition to this, if a contender is suffering from Covid and is unable to appear in the examination or if any contender is unsatisfied with their exam result, they will be provided with a special chance to reappear in the examination. Along with this, priority will be given to the vaccination of students of universities and colleges and teachers and other personnel.
