Railway refreshment at Jaipur Junction starts again

After being closed for 4 years, the railway refreshment resumes back at platform number one to provide cheap food to the passengers.

After a span of 4 years, Railway Refreshment (RR) at Jaipur junction starts again on platform number one. With its resume, the railway passengers will get cheap food, and the base kitchen will also shift at the station. 

Now passengers will be able to get cheap food at Jaipur Junction with the restart of the Railway Refreshment (RR), which has been closed for almost 4 years on platform number one. Reportedly, it will be operated by the private firm handling the food plaza. 

The RR was lying closed for the last about 4 years because of the first tender dispute. It remained closed till the IRCTC canceled its tender itself. In RR, passengers will be given a plate for just Rs 70. 

It was inaugurated by Ex MLA and ZRUCC member Amrita Meghwal, Sr DCM Mukesh Saini, Station Director GC Gupta, SS Gopal Panwar, CTI Sameer Sharma, IPF Naresh Yadav, CMI Mukesh Mathur, Catering Inspector Prakash Lavasa, Deputy SS KS Shekhawat, Harish Kumar, Vijay Chawla.

RR will provided cheap food and other catering facilities

Food Plaza and RR’s GM Vikas Shukla and Manager Lal Singh said that passengers will be provided cheap food and other catering facilities in RR. At the same time, apart from veg, non-veg will also be made available to the passengers. For this a separate Veg/Non Veg section has been developed in the kitchen. 

A base kitchen will start at Jaipur Junction 

IRCTC will soon start a base kitchen here. Due to this food will be made available in premium trains like Shatabdi/Rajdhani. At present, food is provided from the base kitchen located at Loco Colony away from the station. According to the rules of the railway, the base kitchen should be at the station only.
