Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated ‘Patrika Gate’ during a virtual ceremony on Tuesday morning. The ‘Patrika Gate’ is situated at Jaipur’s Jawaharlal Nehru Marg. The inaugural signifies the beginning of a new tourist destination in the form of the Patrika gate.

Speaking on the ceremony, the Prime Minister said that the gate shall become a domestic and international attraction. It is a unique memorial showcasing the architecture, cultural heritage, and lifestyle of the entire Rajasthan.

Patrika Group has constructed ‘Patrika Gate’ under Mission Anupam Yojana of Jaipur Development Authority. The gate is built on the busiest Jawaharlal Nehru Marg of Jaipur. The design of this gate is based on the nine-digit Vastu principle that has been given special attention.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Governor Kalraj Mishra were also present during this ceremony. On this occasion, the Prime Minister also released two books – Samvad Upanishad and Akshar Yatra – authored by Gulab Kothari who is Editor-in-Chief of Rajasthan Patrika Group.

The Prime Minister praised the Patrika group for its efforts and preserving the Indian culture and values. He also praised the creator of the Patrika group Shri Kapoor Chandra Kulish’s assistance in Journalism and for his attempt to spread the knowledge of Vedas in the society.

The first book Samvad Upanishad will be available to the new generation in the form of Vedic tradition in their language style. While in the second book, Akshar Yatra, there is a complete introduction of the alphabet along with the forms of vowel consonants and the meanings of each letter, described in a simple style.

Patrika Gate as a monument adds to the legacy of Patrika being impacted and unified with the cultural values of Rajasthan. It is an attempt to bring together the art, craft, and cultural heritage of the state at one place.

It will be a unique gift to the city as the ninth gate of Jaipur. Pink City already has 8 doors in the remarkable architecture of Jaipur. Since the establishment of Jaipur, 7 doors Kishan Pol (Ajmeri Gate), Chand Pol, Suraj Pol, Ganga Pol, Shiv Pol (Sanganeri Gate), Ram Pol (Ghat Gate) and Zorawar Singh Gate (Dhruv Pole) has been existing here. Sawai Mansingh then built the eighth and the widest, Naya Pol (New Gate) in the city.

All these doors have their own essence and their own significance. With this vision, now this ninth door has been made in Jaipur. This gate has been built on Jawahar Circle located on Jawaharlal Nehru Road. The Patrika gate will enhance the pride of Jaipur just like the Gateway of India in Mumbai and India Gate in Delhi.
