TIMING AND DURATION OF JHALANA Leopard SAFARI
Leopard safaris at Jhalana are conducted in two slots, one in the morning and the other in the evening. Only 10 open Gypsies are allowed to ply in each track of the park.
Jhalana leopard Safari is open throughout the year for visitors. The timings are from 6.45 to 9.30 in the morning and from 3 to 5.50 in the evening in winter. For summers the timing is from 5.45 to 8.50 in the morning and from 3.45 to 6.15 in the evening.
Duration of each safari is 2.45 hours.
LOCATION AND HOW TO REACH JHALANA SAFARI
It is located at Central road within the city, so you save a lot of time in traveling. If you are staying within any hotel in jaipur, it will not take more than an hour to reach the park. It is very close to Jaipur airport and the distance is just 6.8 km. From the railway station, it is 12 km away.

BEST TIME TO VISIT JHALANA SAFARI
The best time to visit the Jhalana Safari Park in Jaipur is between November to May. However, tourists inflow is higher during November, December, January, March, and April.
DOS AND DON’TS
- It would be best if you wear clothes that resemble the colors of Jungle such as shades of khaki brown or green which blends well with the jungle environment. Wearing bright colors tend to scare animals.
- Do keep a distance from all animals, do not go near a birds nest, or do not tease wild animals. As if they get irritated, they may be provoked to attack.
- Do follow the rules of the sanctuary and be respectful towards it. Do not get out of the vehicle while watching wildlife, do not feed the animals or birds, do not smoke or drink inside the sanctuary. These are considered a punishable offense and fine may also be charged upon the rule-breakers.
- Keep your movements less, be silent, and do not shout inside the reserve. It may disturb the leopards or other animals. A slight movement of yours may keep you deprived of continued watching of the animal.
- Wear Comfortable walking shoes or sport shoes. Wear cotton clothes, hat and shades during summers to beat the heat. During winters, wear woolen jackets and gloves. Ear Muffs are especially recommended for children. In the monsoon season, carry your umbrella and raincoat with you. Do not wear perfumes as their smell may startle them.
- Keep your mobiles either switched off or in flight mode. Also, do not use flash in the camera while clicking the pictures.
- Do not litter anywhere in the safari area. Instead, make use of dustbin provided in the Gypsy.
