Pilgrimage for senior citizens to start from September 30

Senior Citizens will now be able to go on pilgrimage after a gap of two years, the train to Rameshwar Dham on 30 September.

The senior citizen pilgrimage, which has been closed for two years due to Covid, will start on 30 September. The first batch of this yatra is made free by the state government. The train will leave from Jaipur on 30th September at noon. 

 In the first batch, 1181 pilgrims from three districts will go to Rameshwar Dham of South India; Train will leave from Durgapura for Rameshwar Dham in South India. The Devasthan Department has released the program for this.

According to the schedule issued by Devasthan Department, the train will run from Durgapura station in Jaipur. For this, the selected pilgrims of Jaipur have been instructed to reach at 6 am. 827 passengers will be taken from Jaipur. The department has called only those passengers, who are coming in the priority, those waiting will be sent on the next train. 

The train schedule 

This train will leave Durgapura at noon and reach Sawai Madhopur at 2 pm. A batch of 192 passengers will come from Sawai Madhopur to join this journey. From here the train carrying all the passengers will leave from Sawai Madhopur and reach Baran station at 4.30 pm and from there 162 passengers will be seated in this train, after which the train will be sent directly to Rameswaram.

The passengers must bring these documents

The pilgrims joining this yatra will be required to bring the original copy of their Jan Aadhar card as well as the copy of the letter applied online, the traveller’s medical certificate and 2 passport-size photographs. Apart from this, passengers who have chronic diseases like sugar, BP, thyroid etc. have been advised to bring their medicines.
