Open-green corridors in Smart road, non-motorized vehicles will run soon

A traffic lane system has been developed for the city’s first smart road named Kishanpole Bazar Road. The work of open-green corridors on the road was started from Tuesday.

Non-motorized vehicles such as e Rickshaws, bicycles and others will be running on the green corridors in the near future, said officials. This plan was implemented under the Smart City Project.

As per the officials, the green corridor was supposed to be developed between footpath and parking earlier, the design was later changed. The new design, the green corridor will be preceded 2.20 meters by parking space and footpath near shops. It will be built on both sides of the market. The length of one side will probably be 700 meters. The parking will be in a 30-degree angle.

Suresh Beniwal XEN of smart road project said that the green corridor is being constructed under the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) guidelines. No inconvenience will be caused to the traffic police officers.
