There is good news for the people of the state. Rajasthan is soon going to shine on the world map. After two states of the country Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand, huge reserves of uranium have been found in the Khandela area of ​​Rajasthan. With this, the power of Rajasthan and India will increase from atomic bomb to electricity production.

Uranium has been found about 100 km away from Jaipur. Apart from 12 million tonnes of uranium, many minerals have been found in about 1086 acres in Khandela town of Sikar district. 

The government has benefited a lot due to this achievement. The path of investment of crores and livelihood of thousands of families in the state has also become easy. Uranium will solve the electricity crisis in the country. It will be used in the energy sector as well as for nuclear weapons.

After the mining of uranium, depending on its processing and many scientific tests, it will be decided whether it will be used in making atomic bombs. Apart from atomic bomb, atomic energy, it is used in many sectors including medicine, defense equipment, photography, medical equipment.

Green signal to the preparations for mining

The government has given a green signal for uranium mining. The Rajasthan government issued an LOI (Letter of Intent) on Sunday for entry mining in the uranium mining sector. This has opened up avenues from employment to investment. Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) will invest about 3 thousand crores. About 3 thousand people will get direct-in direct employment.

According to the Additional Chief Secretary of Mines and Petroleum Department of the state Dr. Subodh Agarwal, “The Rajasthan government has leased ‘Uranium Corporation of India’ for mining of uranium ore in Rohil of Khandela tehsil near Sikar. A letter of Intent has been issued. Uranium is considered one of the rarest minerals in the world. Uranium is a very valuable mineral for nuclear power. Uranium Mining has opened doors for investment, revenue and employment.”

He further said that till now uranium mining is being done in Jadugoda of Singhbhumi in Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh. After completing the necessary formalities, mining will start in Rajasthan also. Co-industries will also be set up in the state based on products produced with uranium.

Mining plan will be approved after many formalities

The documents of permission for uranium mining have been handed over to UCIL. After this, UICL will complete the formalities of the guidelines of the Central Government. Now UCIL will present the mining plan after getting approval from the Department of Atomic Energy, Directorate of Atomic Minerals Exploration and Research, Hyderabad. 

After this, the company will take a certificate of environmental protection and a bank guarantee from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. After this, NOC will be taken from the Revenue Department for about 70 acres of land in the mining area. This will also help in the power sector. Nuclear energy will play an important role in dealing with the country’s electricity crisis.

Kazakhstan, Canada and Australia have the largest production of uranium in the world. Apart from this, uranium has also been found in Niger, Russia, Namibia, Uzbekistan, USA and Ukraine.
