Visiting hours for Jaipur tourists attractions now extended

The monuments and heritage sites of Jaipur will be open from 9 am to 5 pm. Department to ensure strict social distancing guidelines. The orders will come into effect on Wednesday.

Although there is a hike in the number of corona positive cases in the city, the archaeological department has decided to extend the visiting hours for all the tourist sites of the city.

The monuments and heritage sites of the city including Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort and Nahargarh Fort can now be visited from 9 am to 5 pm. Earlier, the visiting hours were in the morning and the evening with a two-hour break in between. Due to this 2-hour break, the tourist department was incurring revenue loss. This step will likely come as a relief.

The tourism industry in Jaipur is worst hit by COVID-19. Therefore, the department officials asked the administration of these monuments to make sure there is a detailed arrangement to take care of the social distancing norms.

According to an officer, “There is a boost in footfall of tourists at all monuments and heritage sites. So, to make things normal, we have decided to extend the visiting hours so that tourists can conveniently visit these monuments. Struct steps will be taken to ensure social distancing guidelines.”
