Rajasthan’s home department has issued orders to continue the restraints imposed under section 144 in all 33 districts of the state till March 21. It is a step by the government to keep the residents safe from Covid-19.
For this, the government has given instructions to district authorities and administrators to ensure that all the provisions are strictly followed. Earlier, the restrictions were to be in action in force up to February 22.
According to the Home Secretary, “The restrictions under Section 144 have been expanded up to a month owing to the risk to the life of the residents of the city and their health condition with the spread of Covid infection.”
The current extension has been aimed to make sure that the residents of the state are protected from the dangers of the highly contagious Covid virus spreading in the state. The government’s intervention aims to further stop the already dulling virus spread. This will help the state to shift soon to the safer side with a hideous number of active cases, he further added.
Section 144, which was initially imposed in the state on March 18, 2020, with the spread of coronavirus, has now been extended again up to March 21 by the state’s home department. With this, it would be a year of implementation of Section 144 in the state soon.
