Rajasthan International Center to open at Jhalana in Jaipur

Jaipur is all set with a new Rajasthan International Center to host international events. The center will be built at Jhalana with traditional Interior design.

A new heritage construction, Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) is all set to host International events in Jaipur. Built on the lines of Rajasthani architecture, the center is built at Jhalana Institutional Area of Jaipur. 

The center is ready to host a big international event amidst its antique ambience. Various cultural events, fairs, festivals, conferences etc. can now be held under one roof for up to 1800 people simultaneously. JDA has spent about 100 crores on the construction of this heritage building.

The Rajasthan International Center will have seven storeys. It will have a convention hall, auditorium and mini auditorium, conference hall, lecture hall, library, restaurant etc. A guest house will also be constructed on the lines of a five-star hotel. A state-of-the-art auditorium with a capacity of 750 people will be built. two smaller auditoriums with a capacity of 200 people will also be built. Along with this, four conference rooms, boardroom, library, e-library restaurants and exhibition area will also be constructed. 

Architecture of the Rajasthan International Centre

From its walls to the auditorium, the interiors will showcase the distinct styles of Rajasthani architecture. Special stones of Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and other districts of Rajasthan are used in different areas. A glimpse of Jaisalmeri-Marwari-Jaipuri architecture will be visible. 

The Mini Auditorium will have a glimpse of the Marwar pattern. The conference hall will bring alive the memories of the arch-monuments of the ancient art of Mandore Garden of Jodhpur. While the Convention Hall and Functional Area will give you a glimpse of the popular City Palace, the crown of the city Hawa Mahal. Apart from this, the lecture hall and restaurant will be given a modern interior.

On the lines of Delhi’s India International Center

The Gehlot government dreamt to prepare Rajasthan International Center on the lines of Delhi’s India International Center in Jaipur. In August 2009, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had woven this dream, which would be fulfilled during this tenure. For this, till now 65 crores has been spent on the building work and now the decorative work is remaining. The project is said to be completed in 18 months for the inauguration.

First center of its kind, will boost the tourism

JDA claims that there is no such thing in the state in terms of facilities and beauty. This is the first center with such diversity and capacity in one place. Apart from Birla Auditorium, JECC etc. this center will have an auditorium along with a convention centre, two mini auditoriums, exhibition area, e-library, conference-lecture hall, restaurant etc. under one roof. This will give a boost to tourism in Jaipur.
