Rajasthan Govt implied Section 144 in Jaipur till December 20

Due to a rapid spike in COVID-19 cases, the Rajasthan government on Saturday imposed Section 144 of the CrPC in Jaipur till December 20. Due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases. The Additional Commissioner II Rahul Prakash issued an order imposing Section 144 in the city.

A night curfew has also been implemented by the state government in eight district headquarters including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar and Bhilwara. 

According to the information, Rajasthan reported 3,007 new cases of the coronavirus, the highest in a single day, and 16 deaths on Saturday. Of these, Jaipur recorded the highest spike of 551 cases, followed by Jodhpur where 444 persons tested positive for the viral disease.

Prohibitions have been imposed since Saturday. If someone disobeys the order, strict action will be taken against them. The fine of Rs 500 will be charged for not wearing a mask has also been increased from Rs 200 to prevent the pandemic situation. 

The COVID-19 count in the state nearly 2,40,676 and the death toll at 2,146. The number of positive cases in the state is 21,951.

According to the protocols, it will be mandatory for every person to wear a face mask at any public place and to maintain a distance of 6 feet in a public place. Ensure thermal scanning, hand wash, hand sanitizer and sanitation at entry and exit points in crowded public places and business establishments, in major markets etc.

Apart from this, all common facilities and human contact such as railings, door handles etc. should be sanitized again and again. A maximum of 100 people will be able to attend the matrimonial ceremony and 20 people at the funeral. Gatherings like rallies, procession, social gatherings and public functions etc. will be completely banned.
