Rajasthan Budget 2021 Announced: Special focus on Agriculture, Education and Medical field

The third budget of the Congress government of Rajasthan has been announced in the state assembly on Wednesday. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot presented a digital ‘paperless’ budget.

This time in the assembly, CM Gehlot gave a very long budget speech. The budget speech started at 11 am, lasted 2 hours 46 minutes. The budget of Rajasthan was mainly focused on medical, farmers and education.

Gehlot did not impose any new tax on the people of the state but gave a rebate of Rs 910 crore on the different heads of tax. This means that the government will get 910 crores less in income from tax next year. With a special focus on the agriculture sector, it announced to present a separate budget for agriculture from next year.

Budget for farmers

Chief Minister announced Krishak Sathi Yojana. 5 lakh farmers will be provided many facilities.

Loan waiver of more than 2 lakh farmers, farmers will be given interest-free crop loans of 16 thousand crores, micro-irrigation to about four lakh three thousand areas in next three years will be brought into the area. The focus will be on automation, 50 thousand farmers will get electricity connection – solar pump, mini food park for export and promotion of agricultural products, 200 days employment in MNREGA, animal farmers will get the emergency veterinary facility at home, providing improved seeds. 3 lakh farmers will be given biofertilizers. One lakh farmers will be made compost units, 30 thousand farmers will be made farm ponds. Sprinklers will be provided to 1.20 lakh farmers. 120 Farmer Producer Organizations will be created.

One thousand new posts of agricultural supervisors will be created

Electricity bills of BPL, small domestic consumers, farmers will now come from two months instead of one month

Announcement of new connections to 50 thousand farmers.

New agricultural colleges in Dungarpur, Hanumangarh and Bundi

Declaration of establishing new milk collection in the state as primary producer association

Announcement of 102 mobile services on the lines of 108 ambulances for pastoralists at their home

Budget for Education

Two new universities will be created for the mute people. Technology centers will be built, modern technology will be taught here. 

With the help of NASA, children will be taught science. Colleges will be opened for yoga in Udaipur. 

82 crore will be given for digital education. 

Rajasthan State Ayush Research Center will be established in Ajmer.

Girls’ Colleges will be opened in his constituency in the name of the late MLAs.

Children from classes 1 to 8 will get a free dress, free books for children from classes 1 to 6

Government English Schools will be opened in a thousand villages 

100 government schools will be upgraded, 50 state schools will be opened

The number of libraries will be increased from 8 thousand to 14 thousand

Special qualified schools will be opened in all 9 educational divisions

Poddar school in Jaipur will be converted into English Medium

Digital University in Jodhpur in collaboration with the private sector

Girls’ colleges will be opened in many towns

Free travel facility in roadways to candidates participating in competitive examinations

8 new Eklavya Model Schools will be opened

Many announcements for minority students

Provision of 200 crores under Devnarayan Yojana.

2000 scooty will be given to students

Budget for the Health Sector

A special package for Corona was announced in the state. Announcement of the Right to Health Bill will be extended to health services under the Rajasthan Model of Public Health.

Medical insurance of five lakhs for every family under Universal Healthcare Scheme, an announcement of 30 new PHCs, 

New nursing colleges to be opened at 25 district headquarters, Announcement of a new hospital in Bhilwara, 365-bed hospital in Barmer, a super speciality hospital in Bharatpur, JLN hospital in Ajmer will be upgraded, Trauma center in Bhilwara and Bharatpur will be developed.

Every MLA will select a model CHC in his area, which will be developed

Cardiology Department will be established in Jaipur for 50 crores, 

Naturopathy college will start in Udaipur and Jodhpur, 

Development work will be done at Gangauri hospital in Jaipur for Rs 50 crore

Rajasthan State AYUSH Research Center will be established

22 life support systems in medical college hospitals 

Apart from this, there were also a few more announcements: 

Thousands of rupees will be increased by unemployment allowance, startups will get fifty lakh assistance, 50 thousand new jobs will be created in two years, to make the recruitment process simple, integrated and timely, with different common eligibility exams like Gram Sevaks, For the Patwari, Ministerial staff etc. Candidates for competitive exams will not have to go through the repeated Police and Document Verification.

The government will give free sanitary napkins to all women on the lines of girls. It will cost a total of 200 crores.

Rural bus service will start again with new vehicles. This bus service was discontinued under the BJP rule.

There will be a Rajasthan festival in all districts on 30 March. 10,000 youth will be sent to introduce them to the culture of other states.

A film promotion policy will be made. Rajasthani film will be given a support amount of 25 lakh rupees for film production promotion and a 100% discount on GST. Those investing in the most backward area will be given the benefits of the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS-19).
