Congress leader and former party president Rahul Gandhi to host rallies across the country. He will be starting it by addressing a rally in Jaipur on January 28.

Several political leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Congress state in-charge Avinash Pande and other party leaders will be attending the Jaipur rally.

The preparations for the rally has already begun. Rajasthan deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot, who became the longest-serving Rajasthan Congress Committee president on Tuesday after completing six years on the post, visited the Vidhyadhar Nagar Stadium in Jaipur to review the preparation for the rally.

Rajasthan deputy chief minister, Sachin Pilot said that

the rally will highlight and attract the attention of the Centre on the country’s economic slowdown, unemployment including student’s protest.

The rally is scheduled ahead of Union Budget on February 1. The rally in Jaipur will focus on the youths and students who are facing problems because of a lack of jobs and rising unemployment due to the prevailing economic situation in the country.

The party is expected to hold organized rallies against CAA while bringing up the economic woes. The all-party peace march taken out on December 22 drew a lot of praise from the party’s leadership and the party is keen to replicate the Jaipur march in several states under Gehlot as a model.

Rahul alleged the Modi government was not taking any concrete step on the issues of public interest and the economy but was busy diverting public attention by bringing laws that unnecessary.

“This is the first time that several states of the country are at protests against a law passed by the Parliament. State assemblies are passing the resolution. And the youth are hurt, suffering, frustrated,” he said.
