Book your stay at the Royal City Palace of Jaipur on Airbnb

A room of the 300-year-old City Palace of Jaipur has been listed on Airbnb, a renowned travel lodging platform. The room named Gudliya suite is one of the private sections of the palace, has been used in the past for royals and special guests. The suite is priced at $8000 per night. The guests will be able to book and stay in this luxurious suite from November 23th, 2019.

The City Palace Jaipur was built in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the royal founder of the city of Jaipur. It still is home to Jaipur’s royal family today. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of 21 years of age became the first royal to offer a stay at his palace on the platform. The host Maharaja Padmanabh Singh succeeded his grandfather in 2011.

Padmanabh Singh, the current Maharaja of city palace expresses his views on letting out the property, “I am thrilled that my family and I are partnering with Airbnb to bring the splendor of Rajasthan to life for travelers from around the world. My own travels with Airbnb has made me feel very welcome in new cities and cultures, and I am happy that the experience of quintessential Indian hospitality will be shared with others.”

According to a statement released by Airbnb, “The proceeds from the suite booking will go to the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation. A nonprofit working to develop and empower underprivileged communities, including the rural women and artisans in Rajasthan.

The Gudliya suite, which was until now has never been available to the public and was only used as a guest residence by the royal family will now let out and become accessible to outside guests. The guests visited the suite are Princess Diana, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Clinton, and Jackie Kennedy.

The guests will experience a grandeur living, a lifestyle of the royalty of Jaipur. The Gudliya Suite, priced at $8000 per night, will be available with a special inaugural offer of $1000 per night for the remainder of 2019. Airbnb will be paying the balance as a contribution to the foundation. From January onwards, the suite will be available for guests to book at the full $8000 rate.

The beautiful suite with its noble and regal interiors is a sight to behold. It offers picturesque views of the lush green lawns of the City Palaceterrace views with a backdrop of the peacocks and overlooking the Aravallis.

Talking about the facilities, the suite includes its own lounge, kitchen, luxurious bedroombathroom and privateindoor swimming pool along with a personal butler. A car with a chauffeur arrives at the airport to receive the guest and transport them to the palace. A member of the palace staff will guide guests on a tour of the complex’s architectureart, and décor. The guest will be looked after by a private butler who will guide you in exploring the city, gather experiences, shopping tourswalks through local museums. Traditional meals from the Rajasthani Cuisine will be served to the guests as breakfast and dinner at Baradari, a City Palace’s in-house restaurant. All this is inclusive in the cost of the suite.
