After the increase in the corona cases, the Rajasthan government has issued a new guideline till April 30. In the new guidelines, a 12 hour night curfew has been decided to be imposed in all the cities of Rajasthan.
In the wake of sudden surge, this move is taken to put the brakes on surging Covid cases. A series of measures are issued in the new guidelines released by the state government. The Home Department has imposed strict restrictions by issuing new guidelines. These orders will be applicable from April 16 and will be in effect till the end of the month.
To make sure the curfew comes into force, all the shops of the market and business establishments are asked to keep close after 5 pm. All public events, religious events, rallies, political or festival processions have been banned. The restaurants will be allowed to run with 50% capacity. Cinema halls, theatres, gyms, multiplexes will remain closed.
Apart from this, the Government offices except for covid control and war rooms will open only till 4 o’clock. Government offices will open only till 4 o’clock. Government and private offices with more than 100 employees, except emergency services, will not be able to get more than 50% employees, half of the employees will work from home.
The Chief Minister held a video conference with religious heads, MLAs of all parties, political leaders and social activists in the afternoon to discuss restrictions. The Chief Minister has refused to impose the complete lockdown but has appealed to the people to behave like a lockdown. The restrictions issued in the new guidelines are based on the suggestions made by the experts in the past.

All educational institutions including schools, colleges, coaching, libraries will remain closed.
Education will continue in medical and nursing colleges.
10th and 12th board examinations postponed, the practice also postponed.
Wedding and other celebrations
More than 50 people will not be able to attend any private event including marriage.
Band players will be excluded from the 50-person limit at the wedding ceremony.
The SDM of the wedding ceremony will have to be informed first, information can be given by email.
It is mandatory for people to wear masks and keep social distancing at weddings or any private event.
No Mask No Entry rule must be followed.
No more than 20 people will be able to attend the funeral.
Wearing masks and adhering to social distancing is mandatory at the funeral.
Other ceremonies and shrines
Restrictions on all types of public social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious ceremonies.
Ban of any kind of fair or procession.
Worship at home only, only priests will be able to perform regular worship at religious places.
The system of online darshan will continue.
In government and private offices with more than 100 employees, only 50% of the employees will come, the rest will do work from home.
Offices with emergency services such as police, fire brigade, ambulance and covid work agencies will be allowed to call the entire staff to the office.
If an employee is found to be corona positive in any office, that workplace will be closed for 72 hours.
Shops, markets and public places
Markets will be closed in urban areas at 5 pm.
Shops and businesses in rural areas have to close at 8 pm.
Strict adherence to No Mask No Service at shops is mandatory.
Cradle social distancing by making bullets in front of shops.
If seen violating the rules the shop will be sealed for 72 hours.
No Mask No Service rule should be followed. It will be mandatory for both the shopkeeper and the customer to apply masks.
Spitting in public places is prohibited.
Consumption of betel leaf, bidi, cigarettes, yolk in public places is prohibited.
In the autorickshaw, apart from the driver, only two rides will be able to sit.
In a four-wheeler taxi, only 50 per cent of the total capacity will be able to sit, half the seats are vacant.
Only half of the total seat capacity in the buses will be able to sit, except for one seat.
No one will be able to stand and travel on public transport.
The vehicle has to be sanitized after every journey.
Private vehicles will not be able to seat more than the fixed seat capacity.
The night curfew will not apply to these
- Continuous production factories, night shift factories.
- IT companies, chemist shops, mandatory and emergency services offices.
- Passengers arriving from the wedding ceremony, medical services workplace, bus station, railway station and airport.
- Goods transport vehicles, people engaged in loading-unloading, other people approved by the government
- Teaching institutions
