New Masala Chaupati to open at 3 places in Jaipur

Following the popularity of Masala Chowk, the Rajasthan Housing Board is planning to open Jaipur chaupati at three places in the city. Masala Chowk has become a popular destination for food lovers in the city.

The authority has taken the decision to introduce these food destinations, in a meeting presided over by housing board commissioner Pawan Arora on Wednesday. The board is identifying places in Mansarovar, Pratap Nagar, and Dastkar Nagar. The housing board will also develop fountain squares in Arawali Marg and VT Road area.

According to a senior officer of the housing board, “We want to develop hangout places on the land currently owned by the housing board. This will increase footfall to the housing board areas. People would also be able to enjoy musical and street performances at fountain squares and chaupatis.”

The food stalls at these chaupati will also serve a variety of vegetarian delights like Masala Chowk. Jaipurites and the tourists will be able to relish the snacks from leading food joints. They are Master in making Kachori, Chat, Thai, Mexican, Lebanese cuisines, as well as Tea, Ice Cream, Juices, and Shakes.

Masala Chowk Jaipur developed by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) at Ram Niwas Garden has become a popular hangout place for the Jaipurites as well as tourists. The people can taste the traditional street food of Jaipur in one place. On the lines of Masala Chowk, JDA has decided to open these three Jaipur Chaupati.

There are several other future plans as well. In the meeting, the development of residential plots and commercial properties in various cities along with Bikaner and Udaipur was also decided.
