Lok Sabha elections 2019: 68.22% voting in 13 constituencies, highest voter turnout in the last 67 years in Rajasthan

The fourth phase of Lok Sabha polls 2019 in nine states including Rajasthan was successfully completed on Monday.

People came out in great numbers to vote and the state recorded the highest voter turnout percentage that is 68.22% in 16 Lok Sabha elections since 1952. Also, the voting is 3.95 % more than the Lok Sabha elections in 2014.

According to the election department, Barmer of Rajasthan recorded the highest voter turnout with 73.13% whereas Pali constituency was last on the list with just 62.42%. Whereas, West Bengal recorded the highest voter turnout in fourth phase in the country with 76.72% on Monday

The voting for 13 constituencies out of 25 parliamentary seats in Rajasthan was conducted on April 29 and the other 12 constituencies will go to polls in the fifth phase on May 6.

Also, during the fourth phase of Lok sabha elections 2019, the voting in 72 constituencies across nine states of the country has been completed. The states include parts of Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

The results will be declared on May 23.
