All literature enthusiasts alert! The world’s greatest literary show, the iconic Jaipur Literature Festival, is all set to run its sixteenth edition from 19th to 23rd January 2023. The five-day literary extravaganza promises to be as grand and enriching as its previous editions have been.

The 16th edition of the festival will present a rich five-day long programme and an array of literature, art & culture, and offer enthusiasts unparalleled access to some of the most celebrated personalities of the literary world.

JLF 2023 is once again ready to host the world’s greatest writers, thinkers, humanitarians, politicians, business leaders, and entertainers on one stage. In a nod to regional languages, the event will include 20 Indian and 14 international languages. The festival this year has curated a special ‘Friends of the Festival’ package, which promises attendees an experience like never before.

Over 250 speakers, including recipients of the Nobel, the Booker, International Booker, the Pulitzer, the Sahitya Akademi, Baillie Gifford, PEN America Literary Awards, the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature, the JCB Prize for Literature and many more awards will be present.

Topics of debate will range from climate justice, women, translations, poetry, economics, tech morality and artificial intelligence, Russia-Ukraine conflict, violence of the British Empire, cutting-edge science, India at 75, remembering Partition, geopolitics, art and photography, health and medicine.

Bernardine Evaristo, the first mixed-race woman author and Booker Prize winner for Girl, Woman, Other
Jerry Pinto – Mumbai-based journalist, writer, and translator
Merve Emre – Turkish-American author and literary critic
Deepti Naval, Indian actress, writer, and director
Rana Safvi, blogger, Indian writer, and translator
Ruth Ozeki, filmmaker, Booker-nominated American-Canadian author, and Zen Buddhist priest
NoViolet Bulawayo – 2022 Booker Prize shortlisted author of Glory
Tanuj Solanki – 2019 Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar winner
Vincent Brown – American historian and academic
