Coming months will bring good news for those interested in astronomy and science. The department of archaeology and museology is soon to restart the “Light & Sound” show at Jantar Mantar

The new programme will discuss the scientific value of astronomy instruments. The department of archaeology and museology has roped in leading experts from all over the country to comprise the latest understanding of these instruments in the show. This new programme will be visually appealing with components from facts, creative music, mild thrills, and narrations!

The show will last 15 to 18 minutes with interesting facts about astronomical relevance. The show will run 3 to 4 times a day. As of now, the timeline has not been disclosed by the officials but it is expected to be announced in the coming months. Earlier, the show duration was around 30 minutes and was focused on the history of erstwhile royals of Jaipur. But, it discontinued due to poor response.

According to an official of the department, “The idea behind the light and sound show is to give exact and the closest verbal narration of the 19 astronomical instruments. It was realised that due to its scientific value, visitors were not able to grasp the relevance of these historic instruments.”

This light and sound show is going to be completely different from the earlier version. The earlier version didn’t receive the expected response from visitors as the content wasn’t good enough to grip the audience. To make the new light and sound show appealing, it will have all the aspects from facts, original music, lights, thrill along with the narration by a well-known personality.
