Heritage Evening during JLF to be held at Amer Fort

The offline version of JLF 2022, a five-day fest, will be held with a classical singing heritage event at Amer fort on 13 March.

Jaipur Literature Festival 2022 with its 15th edition will be drenched with heritage this year. One of the events of the five days will be held at Amer fort. There will be a heritage evening on March 13 at Ganesh Pol in Amer Fort. 

JLF is all set to fill Jaipur with new colours after 2 years with culture and heritage in the pink city. Jaipur Literature Festival with its 15th edition is to be held from 5th to 14th March 2022, on-ground as well as virtually. This year the fest will be organised at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur.

As per the schedule of JLF, the 10-day event will be carried out in a hybrid format. While the virtual festival will be running from March 5 to March 9, the offline program will be hosted from March 10 to March 14 at Hotel Clarks Amer.

JLF to begin with classical singing

The fest will be organized from March 10 to 14 with an offline magnificence. The festival will begin with a stellar lineup of musical performances in the morning. The first day will be named after classical singer Ujjwal Nagar. The second day will begin with the vocals of Indian classical singer and lyricist Aastha Goswami. Aastha sings in 17 types of Indian languages. 

Apart from this, Aahvaan Project which basically tells stories through music will perform on the third day of the festival. In this, love, humanity and compassion will be shown in the form of a musical story. The Aawan Project is slated to perform at JLF, in a traditional style this year.

On the fourth morning of the festival, the classical vocalist of the Dagar Gharana, Mrs. Sombala Kumar, will enthral the audience with her melody. On the last day of JLF, academic and composer Priya Kanungo will present India’s diverse musical heritage.

Heritage evening at Amer fort 

The 2022 edition of the Literature Fest includes special events that will be carried out during the scheduled ‘Heritage Evening’ on March 13. This event will be held at Ganesh Pol, Amer Fort. This beautiful evening will be graced by a soulful performance by Aditi Mangaldas, Kathak-Natya performer, student of Late Pandit Birju Maharaj, the kathak maestro.

To make this evening a little more beautiful, the queen of classical music and daughter and disciple of Pandit Kumar Gandharva, Kalapini Komkali will perform. The evening closing will be done with a fashion show by the students of Arch School of Design, Jaipur.

Earlier, while the on-ground version of this spectacular festival was scheduled to take place between January 28 to February 1, 2022, its online version was decided to proceed till February 6. However, in a wake of increasing COVID cases, this fest was postponed to the current schedule, March 5 to March 14.
