The Haj Committee has issued the guidelines in this regard. The Haj Committee has also made it clear that before filling the application, the applicant of hajj 2020 should read the guidelines carefully.

  • Applicants can apply online on the Haj Committee website and through Haj Committee Mobile App HCOI
  • Applicants will be able to fill their applications online as per their convenience from Cyber Cafe, Haji Suvidha Kendra, and the State Haj Committee
  • The applicant must have a valid machine-readable Indian International Passport issued on or before the last date for accepting the Haj application form.
  • The applicant must choose the accommodation category, according to the convenient embarkation point, airfare. The committee will not allow the options once chosen to be changed later.

Over the past couple of years, there has been a decline in the number of Haj applicants. The committee had received nearly 16,500 applications in 2017. While in 2019, the number of applications came down to 10,000 and nearly 6000 people from Rajasthan went on the Hajj pilgrimage. The rising cost and the complex application process are being blamed for the decline in applications.
