Guidelines revised: Schools till class 12th closed till January 30

With a rapid increase in the cases of Covid-19, the Rajasthan government has increased the strictness on restrictions. This is the third time the guidelines have been revised in a week. Other guidelines will be applicable from January 11.

Under the new guidelines, the government has appealed to the people to celebrate Makar Sankranti and the festival of Lohri at home. Cinemas, theatres, multiplexes, amusement parks across the state, will be open with 50 percent capacity till 8 pm only.

Schools up to class 12 in all urban areas of the state have been closed till January 30. After January 30, children with both vaccinations will be able to go to school. Schools in rural areas will remain open. Studies will continue in colleges.

Markets will also open till eight o’clock at night. Only 50 people will be able to attend wedding ceremonies or public gatherings in urban areas. In rural areas, there will be a limit of 100 people to attend marriage or public events.

Religious places will open only from 5 am to 8 pm. The state government has banned the carrying of worship materials and prasad in all religious places of the state. 

  • Weekend Curfew will be imposed

There will be a complete curfew on Sunday. According to the order of the government, there will be a curfew from 11 pm on Saturday to 5 am on Monday. 

All markets, offices, and commercial complexes will be closed on Sunday. 

Only the factories with regular production work or those with night shifts will be exempted from the curfew. 

IT, Telecom services, Medical shops will be free from Sunday curfew. 

Wedding ceremonies, offices with emergency services, all vehicles carrying goods along with passengers going to and from railway stations, bus stands and airports will be exempted.

  • Isolation zone have to be built in hotels and resorts

For tourism, film shootings, and other events in any hotel or resort a condition of building an isolation zone has been kept for accommodation in the resort. Only employees and the invited guests will be allowed to enter the isolation zone. Conditions have been fixed for the isolation zone. The number of guests will be according to the size of the campus. Once the guest has entered the isolation zone of the hotel, they will be allowed to leave only after the ceremony is over. In the isolation zone, people other than guests will not be allowed.

  • The city will be divided into three zones

The collector will be able to impose more restrictions in areas where the positivity rate is more than 10 percent. For this, decisions will be taken according to the Green, Yellow and Red zones.

The area with 100 active cases per 1 lakh population will be kept in the Red Zone. With 51 active cases, it will remain in the Yellow Zone. An area with 50 or fewer active cases for a population of 1 lakh will be a green zone. 

Similarly, the village which will have 20 active cases will be considered in the red zone. The villages with less than 20 active cases will be a yellow zone. While the village where there will not be a single case will be kept in the green zone. If there is even a single case in the village, it will come under the Yellow Zone.
