Food Festival ’56 Bhog Utsav- 2022′ starts in Jaipur

The four day Food Festival '56 Bhog Utsav- 2022' has begun in Jaipur with Rajasthani Traditional Thali and Desert and Sweet Competition.

The four-day food festival ’56 Bhog Utsav-2022′ inaugurated on Saturday at Rajasthan Haat at Jal Mahal where people will get to taste famous products of the districts. The common people can enjoy the delicacies from 11 am to 9 pm. 

In this festival, Rajasthan’s delicious dishes, famous spices, sweets, snacks, special food items and traditional, natural and modern kitchen equipment will be available at one place in the festival. The best dishes are being selected from almost all the districts of the state and are being displayed for the visitors. 

According to the Industry and Commerce Minister, Shakuntala Rawat, the aim of the department is to provide a better platform to the cuisines of the districts. Such events are necessary to provide recognition to the famous products of the districts at the national and international level. 

This special event will acquaint the locals and tourists with the excellence and regional diversity of cuisine, spices from across the state. It will also enhance the image of the state’s products. This is organized by the Industry Department and Enterprise Promotion Institute. 

As per the officials, the department is trying to organize such food festivals every year, so that the producers can get better customers with quality flavors to the people. Apart from this, culinary competition, painting competition, talk show, quiz competition and various cultural programs will also be organized during the event.

Cuisine competition was the highlight 

The highlight of the festival was the Rajasthani Traditional Thali (pure vegetarian) and Desert and Sweet (pure vegetarian) competition. During the cuisine competition, a half-an-hour talk show and some competitions were also organized, which were related to food and nutrition. Certificates were given to the participants.

These delicious products wooed the public

People will also get the taste of special dishes like Nasirabad’s Kachoda, Pushkar’s Malpua, Gangapur’s Kheermohan, Dausa’s Dovathe, Kota’s Kota Kachori, Bhusavar’s Pickle, Chidawa’s Peda, Alwar’s Kalakand, Pali’s Gulab Halwa, Bikaner’s Bhujia, Jodhpur’s. Mirchi Vada, Pratapgarh’s Aam Papad in the same premises. Apart from this, Vada Pav of Mumbai, Petha of Agra, Khaman Dhokla of Gujarat and other special dishes of other states will also entice the public in the festival.
