News

Delhi and Jaipur have now come closer by road as Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the 246-km Delhi to Jaipur stretch of the 1,386-km Delhi to Mumbai mega expressway. The travel time will come to 2.5 hours to 3 hours from the current 5 hours. The Sohna (Haryana)- Dausa (Rajasthan) stretch will likely be opened for traffic from Tomorrow.

At present, it takes six and a half to seven hours to reach Delhi from Jaipur. It is being claimed that with this expressway, the journey will be just 3 hours. The Sohna-Dausa stretch will become an alternative to the busy Delhi-Jaipur Expressway.

This stretch has been developed at a cost of more than ₹12,150 crores. With this expressway, 7 districts of Rajasthan will be connected including Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Sawaimadhopur, Tonk, Bundi and Kota districts.

Major features of Sohna-Dausa stretch of the expressway

Trauma Center: A trauma center has been set up in the rest area. Where doctors will give duty for 24 hours. If someone’s health deteriorates during the journey, he can be brought to the trauma center. Male-female wards have been made separately here. ICU ward, operation theater has also been built here. Where patients can also be operated, an ambulance has also been deployed towards NHAI. If an accident happens on the highway, patients can be immediately brought to the trauma center by ambulance.

Charging Point: The trend of e-vehicles has started rapidly in India. This has also been taken care of in the project. Separate charging stations have been made in these rest areas, which will remain operational for 24 hours. A separate tender has been issued for the charging station.

Petrol Pump: Petrol pumps have been made on both sides of the rest area. Because after coming on the highway from Delhi, you can get back at the interchange only. For the problem of petrol and diesel, separate tenders will be issued by NHAI for petrol pumps.

Restaurant: Separate restaurants will be opened on both sides of the rest area. From South Indian to Chinese food can be found here. Domestic and foreign nationals will be able to enjoy all kinds of delicious food. There will also be a fun park for the children to play.

Rural Haat: A rural haat  has also been made where handicraft items will be sold. Products made by small artisans will be sold here. This will also give a boost to small scale industries. To overcome the problem of cash, ATMs will also be installed.

Service Station: The biggest thing is that if your car breaks down or gets damaged in an accident, then separate service stations have also been made here.

Single entry and exit point

There will be only one entry and exit point in every district to connect with the expressway. From here only you will be able to come and go on the highway. To start the journey, one has to go to Dausa from Jaipur. There is a single entry point of the expressway from Jaipur to Dausa.

There will be no speed breaker

As there is only one entry and exit point kept in every district on the expressway, there will be no obstruction anywhere on the highway on the way. The toll will also be charged at this entry point. There will be no speed breakers as well.

The first Greenfield Expressway

There will be green fields on both sides of the expressway and pure air will be available. More than 10 lakh saplings are being planted here to reduce pollution. A space of about 10 to 15 feet has been kept between the two roads. Big circles have been made at the exchange points. Neem, Snake, Erica, Gerbera and Xylene are being specially planted here to keep the environment pure. They observe poisonous gasses along with carbon dioxide.

Stray animals will not disturb the expressway

There is no such highway in India where accidents do not happen due to stray animals. NHAI claims that stray animals will not be able to enter the expressway. For this, huge railings have been installed on both sides of the expressway. Apart from this, the height of the expressway is more than the normal highway, so that animals cannot climb. Hence it will be completely safe.

Solar panels on the expressway

The world’s most modern technology has been used in the construction of the expressway. Solar panels have also been installed on the expressway for electricity. After the commencement of traffic, the expressway will also be illuminated at night.

Fighter jets will fly from the road

Fighter jets and planes can also be landed on the expressway. 8 places between Delhi and Dausa and 53 places on the entire highway have been identified, where emergency landing can be done. A 4-layer layer has been made to make the road. Due to which the road becomes very strong.

CCTV at every 500 meters

CCTVs have been installed at every 500 meters. After going on the expressway, the complete record will be available in these cameras. Where did you board the express and where did you get down? In case of incidents like kidnapping or the escape of a gangster, the complete details will be known in advance.

If the speed is more than 120 then online challan

German technology is used in construction of this highway. Till now people can drive at any speed on any highway, but on this expressway, online challan will be deducted if the vehicle is driven at more than 120 speed. There are speed meters installed here and there. A message will be sent on the mobile number present in the record of the vehicle and its fine will also be collected on the highway itself.

Will save rain water by making tanks

Tanks are being made to save rain water on both sides of the highway. During rains, the water from the highway will directly go into these tanks only. The capacity of these tanks will be around 700 liters. From these tanks water will be supplied to the plants on the expressway. Drip systems have been installed to deliver water to the plants. Small water pipes have been installed till every plant. In Dausa district, 130 tanks have been made. More than two thousand tanks will be built on the entire highway. A tank will be built at a distance of every 500 meters.
