Deadline for Admission to Rajasthan’s colleges extends till July 16

The date of application for admission in colleges of Rajasthan has been extended as the result of the CBSE Board is not released.

As the CBSE results have not been announced, the deadline for applying for admission to Rajasthan University has been extended to July 16. The decision has been taken to accommodate CBSE students who have not been able to apply yet.

Students will now be able to apply for admission in government and private colleges of Rajasthan till July 16. After the CBSE 12th result was not announced, the Higher Education Department decided to extend the last date of application. Earlier, the deadline to apply for the application was fixed as July 9.

The admission process for undergraduate courses began at Rajasthan University on June 27 and the last date to apply was July 9. Under this, five lakh 8000 students in more than 450 government colleges in Rajasthan, while 8 lakh students in more than 2000 private colleges could apply for admission.

But because the results of senior secondary examinations are yet to be announced by the CBSE, till now only RBSE students were able to apply for admission. In such a situation, now the Higher Education Department has given a big relief to the students of CBSE.

Important Changes in Colleges Admission Policy

This admission to colleges in Rajasthan will be based on the percentage of class 12th, not the percentile formula.

Till now, 3% seats were reserved for children of employees of the Indian Army, Central Armed Forces and ex-servicemen for admission to the college. In these, now the children of Rajasthan Police personnel will also get a place.

Students whose parents have died due to Covid will be given free admission based on minimum marks. Along with this, they will also get a free hostel facility.

As before, students will get a 3% bonus for admitting a girl students in co-education colleges. Online studies will also continue during this period.

For admission in the college of the state, at least 45% marks in arts, and commerce and at least 48% in 12th in science will be required.

Children residing in foreign but originally from India will also be given admission to the state college. Whereas originally foreign students will not be able to get admission this time.

As per the rules of UGC, those colleges which are not eligible for online education. Based on their degrees also, admission will not be given to the college of Rajasthan.
