History
Also referred to as Laxmi-Narayan Temple, Birla Mandir is a modern one built completely by white marbles to enhance the beauty of Jaipur. It was commissioned and built by the Indian industrialist family, B.M Birla Foundation in 1988. The King of Jaipur donated this land to Birla Family at the cost of mere one rupee for building this temple.
Architectural Beauty
This religious center is designed in finest white marble carvings, which draws sparkling effect before its spectators. Besides the idol of the main deity, Shri Lakshmi-Narayan carved out from a single marble stone, the divine image of Lord Ganesha calls for greater attention. It has three domes that represent the three different religious approaches – Hinduism, Christianity and Islam. The outer part of the temple is decorated with delicately carved statues from all religions including Socrates, Zarathustra, Christ, Buddha, and Confucius. They have tinted glass windows that describes mythology stories of deities. On the walls of the temple quotes and sayings are engraved from well-known preachers and holy men.

How to Reach

There are also many buses that can take you to Birla Mandir. It is 7 km from Jaipur Railway station and will take merely 16 minutes to reach Birla Mandir. While it is 10 km from the airport and takes approximately 25 minutes to reach.
