Attempt to create a new Guinness World Record in Jaipur on children’s day

Various schools of Jaipur gathered up for an event in Jaipur, organised to create a new Guinness World Record on the occasion of children's day.

On the occasion of Children’s Day, CII and Young Indians (YI) Jaipur Chapter attempted to create a new Guinness World Record. In this program held on Monday, A child safeguarding lesson was organized at Neerja Modi School, Shipra Path, in which children from various schools across the city participated. 

A total of 7452 children from different schools participated. Students in the age group of 6 to 16 years participated in this initiative. Earlier in the Guinness World Records, the Hindustan International School of Chennai had made this record with 4002 children. 

Under this initiative, the experts informed the children about good touch and bad touch. The children were also informed through videos. The children and their parents were informed about the Child Safeguarding and POCSO Act. Parents were asked to keep making their children aware about good touch and bad touch regularly, talk to them as friends and tell them ways to avoid bad people. The video of the record will be sent to Guinness Records.

Dr. Samit Sharma, Secretary, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment was present in the program as the chief guest. Along with this, Education Minister BD Kalla also reached this program.

What is YI Project Masoom

Young Indians is a part of CII and is working on behalf of Young Indians to prevent child sexual abuse in the country through awareness sessions, training programs and advocacy initiatives. YI Project Masoom is also a part of this. 

According to Shreyansh Kasliwal, Chairperson of the Project Masoom, “In today’s time, giving information about good touch and bad touch to young children is a very important step. Given the situation, we have organized this event trying to create a record. In this, along with information about child safety to the children of private and government schools from across the city, experts have also shared knowledge about the POCSO Act.
