A 21-year-old youth identified as Sushil Meena died on the spot when an overspeeding car hit his bike on JLN Road in Jaipur early on Monday.
Sushil was preparing for his competitive exams and used to stay in government police quarters in Gandhinagar with his father. His father Nemi Chand Meena is an assistant sub-inspector, posted in the DCP, east office in Jaipur.
The accident took place around 3 am on Monday on JLN Marg when Sushil was on his way home from Raja Park. The car was coming from Gandhi Circle near Rajasthan University Campus to JLN Marg. The car was coming in high speed and crashed with his bike dragging it for nearly 20 feet. The body was taken for the post mortem and later handed over to the family members.
The driver escaped leaving the car on the spot as it was badly damaged. Police are trying to identify the owner of the car on the basis of the registration number. An FIR has been registered against him. Further investigation is on.
