20 electric buses will run between Jaipur and Delhi

Transport facilities for Jaipur-Delhi are going to get better with roadways preparing to run electric buses for Jaipur-Delhi, Charging infrastructure will be used.

Now people traveling between Jaipur and Delhi will get convenience with the starting of 20 electric buses operating on this route. Roadways has taken this initiative to increase the transport facilities further.

In fact, the National Highway for Electric Vehicles (NHEV) is currently running some e-buses on the Jaipur-Delhi route. In view of this, now the roadways is also preparing to introduce electric buses with 20 buses in its fleet. 

However, these buses will not be operated by the roadways itself but will be run as a contract. Private operators will deploy their buses and the roadways will pay them as VGF (Viability Gap Fund). Its tender document is likely to be issued this month.

These buses will have many luxury facilities including internet facility, screen on every seat, usb port, water bottle, cctv cameras, live tracking and Child Safety Lock for children. 

Charging infrastructure will be used

The Charging infrastructure has been developed for the NHEV buses plying on this route as well as due to increasing e-vehicles on the Jaipur-Delhi highway. Now it will be used by roadways. The charging stations developed for JCTSL buses in Jaipur will also be used by roadways. 

In the budget, it has been announced to build 250 EV charging stations in the entire state. JCTSL will run 300 EV buses in the city, for which charging stations will be built in the city. These will also be used by roadways.
