2 students of private university injured due to harsh ragging

Two students of the NIMS university in Chandwaji area got injured in a ragging attempt by their seniors.

A complaint has been filed against some senior students of NIMS University for beating up the junior students when the juniors didn’t follow outrageous instructions while ragging.

SHO Chandwaji Vikrant Sharma said that a junior named Bhanu Ambawat registered an FIR on Friday. He is from Badshahpur in Gurugram of Haryana pursuing MBBS at NIMS University.

According to the FIR lodged on Friday, Bhanu stays in the Shivaji Hostel, while his friend Sonu Choudhary stays in Ambedkar Hostel. Bhanu had visited Sonu at his hostel room and while returning from here, he was intercepted by his senior Kanishka Solanki. He asked Bhanu to bow before him and then started beating him up. Kanishka’s friends Ganpat Yadav, Vijay Meena and Manoj Gurjar also came there. They asked for money to buy liquor to which he refused. Then they attacked him with sticks. When Sonu tried to intervene, they beat him also. Both were injured.”

The police have registered an FIR and said that further investigation is on.
