18 flights from Jaipur airport closed, passenger facing trouble

Passengers traveling by air from Jaipur Airport have been troubled by irregular flights and cancellations of flights. A half dozen flights have been closed and more than 150 flights have been canceled since January this year. The number of closed and canceled flights is the highest in the past three months.

Recently, some companies have stopped their flights permanently. Frequent cancellations and closures have forced travelers to choose expensive options. Due to which they are facing a big hit on their money.

According to the information released by the Airport Authority of India, the number of flights operated at Jaipur Airport in the second quarter of this year  has been 1729 fewer flights compared to the second quarter of last year.

Earlier this year, Jet Airways suffered the biggest hit due to the economic crisis. After the closure of this Airways flight, about 10 routes are still empty. Which mainly includes flights to Chandigarh, Indore, and Baroda.

At present, there is a capacity of  70 passengers in the aircraft operating for Jaipur-Udaipur-Jaipur-Bikaner and Jaipur-Jaisalmer. Despite these three cities of the state are important from the point of view of tourism, many times these too are not filled to full capacity. Even the IndiGo has recently discontinued four flights simultaneously, the aircraft are not booked full.

These flights were closed from Jaipur Airport.

Closed flights include more than four flights from Jaipur to Delhi, Lucknow-Jaipur-Lakhau, Jaipur-Kolkata, Hyderabad-Jaipur-Hyderabad, Cochin-Jaipur-Cochin, Spice Jet’s Ahmedabad-Jaipur-Ahmedabad. The flights from Jaipur to Chandigarh, Jaipur to Indore, Jaipur to Baroda including flights have been closed during this year.
