150-bed Covid Care Center started at Jaipur National Institute of Ayurveda

Due to the shortage of oxygen and beds in the second wave of the Corona epidemic, the state government has started a new 150-bed Covid Care Center at the National Ayurveda Institute (NIA) in Jaipur. All the patients admitted to this center will be treated with the Ayurveda method. Allopathic methods will be treated in emergency cases only.

The institute is situated at Jorawar Singh Gate, has Twenty-four out of 150 beds with high flow oxygen support. While there are eight ICU beds with ventilator support. The inauguration of the Covid Care Center was done today by Chief Whip and MLA Mahesh Joshi.

According to the Vice-Chancellor of the institute Professor Sanjeev Sharma, Patients with minor and moderate symptoms will be admitted here. We will treat them through the Ayurvedic medicine system. If a patient comes in a critical condition and an emergency, then the patient will be given treatment in an allopathic manner. For this, a team of doctors of Sawai Man Singh Hospital will also be present on the spot.

Dr CR Yadav, Assistant Professor of the institute said that this is the first Covid care center for the people of Char Diwari, Amer region, which will provide a lot of relief to the people. He said that there is also a lab to provide a 24-hour screening facility for the patients admitted to this center, in which other tests including RT-PCR, CRP, D-Dimer, LDH, IL-6 can be done. 

On this occasion, the Deputy Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Ram Kishore Joshi, the nodal officer of the center, Dr. President of other departments including Narendra Singh were also present.
